Application Engineer
We are looking for a Bay Area based mechanical engineer with experience in sheet metal design to add to our Professional Services team. This is a hands-on position which will involve a range of activities from prototype design to sales and customer support. Candidate must be a self-starter, persistent, intellectually curious, demonstrate flexibility and creativity within a dynamic environment and work independently with a minimum of supervision.
Required Skills
- Experience in sheet metal design using mainstream mechanical design tools
- Ability to visualize in 3D and facility in translating 3D to 2D
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and requirements, especially turret punching and stamping
- The position will include sales support such as technical presentations, capturing of client requirements and project/program management. Some travel may be required.
Qualifications
- BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
- 5+ years of experience with sheet metal design
- Expert level proficiency with Pro/ENGINEER; CATIA or Unigraphics a plus
- Good communication skills and ability to interface with customers and manage consulting projects
- The position is in San Francisco.
Software Engineer
We are looking to add an outstanding software developer to our team.
Required Skills
- Minimum 5 years of software development experience.
- Strong C++, object oriented design and analysis skills.
- Ability to design efficient algorithms.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Strongly Desired Skills
- MCAD/MCAE software development experience.
- Exposure to API's for standard MCAD software.
- Re-factoring skills and experience with design patterns.
- Geometry processing and/or 3D graphics application development.
- Java and server side experience (Servlets, JDBC) would be an excellent plus
Qualifications
- BS in CS/ME or equivalent. MS preferred.
Technical Sales Account Manager
Job objective
Working in coordination with the Industrial Origami Sales Directors, the Technical Sales Account Manager becomes proactively involved with accounts when technical projects are being scoped out. This person is responsible for driving projects to successful conclusions on a timely basis.
Required Skills
- Experience in sheet metal manufacturing environments, such as computer/electronic enclosures, appliances, electrical box/breaker box, etc.
- presentations to multiple levels and positions (engineers and management, technical and business/financial/manufacturing)
- Excellent analytical, consulting and influencing skills. Track record of identifying issues and creatively formulating solutions
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Effective learner, quickly adjusting to a fast paced changing environment
- Ability to operate across boundaries, disciplines, cultures and organizational levels at the customer
- Able to travel approx. 50% of the time, including foreign travel
Qualifications
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or other appropriate undergraduate degree
- 5+ years in technical sales, with track record in meeting sales goals
- Experience with leading CAD software packages, such as Pro/E, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD, etc.
- Experience in manufacturing cost accounting
