Management Team

 Rick Holman
 President and CEO

Rick brings over 20 years of experience to Industrial Origami. His experience includes Zing Networks where he executed a turn around and structured a $50 million merger and arranged $18 million of financing for the merger. Rick managed the integration of the operation and became the first CFO of the merged company; Pictos Technologies.

At PhotoLoft, Inc. Rick stabilized the company, developed a multi-year business plan and arranged over $11 million of financing. Rick co-founded Northwest Broadcasting where he built the operational infrastructure of the company. Rick raised over $50 million in capital, and the company acquired six television stations. Prior to Northwest Broadcasting Rick held executive positions at Amsterdam Pacific Corporation, Bank of California, Bank of America and Irving Trust.

Rick holds a B.A. from Haverford College, a M. Phil from the University of Cambridge, England and an MBA from the University of California at Berkeley.

 

 Max Durney
 Founder and CTO

Max has over 30 years of entrepreneurial experience in manufacturing, engineering and design starting with Durney Brothers, a general contracting and design firm he founded in 1974. In 1981 he went on to co-found Castle, Inc. a manufacturer of automated woodworking machinery. He then co-founded Limited Production, Inc., a manufacturer of custom commercial fixtures and furniture for clients that included Apple, Sun, Silicon Graphics and Oracle, in 1986. Returning to Castle in 1991, Max improved the manufacturing process while reducing costs and expanding the customer base.

Max holds a number of patents issued prior to 1999 when he developed the initial ideas for precision fold technology. These ideas, which include edge to face engagement, became the basis for the Industrial Origami Solution. Industrial Origami, Inc. (IOI®) was incorporated in 2002, after the issuance of the first Industrial Origami method patent. Industrial Origami has numerous additional patents issued and pending relating to the Industrial Origami Technology which are the result of Max's ongoing development program.

Max studied at the University of California at Davis.

 

 Philip Lavee
 VP Sales

Philip has over 20 years of experience in sales, business development, marketing and introducing systems, software and IC's. Prior to joining Industrial Origami, Philip was VP of Sales at Mobilygen, a fabless semiconductor company building IC’s for mobile products.

Before Mobilygen, Philip was one of the founders and VP of Sales and Business Development at Pictos Technologies, a supplier of semiconductor and software solutions for cellular phones and digital still cameras. Philip has held executive management, sales and business development positions with Zing Networks, Pix.com, and Scitex Corporation.

Philip holds a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University and a B.E.T. from Technion, School of Engineering Technology.

 

 Radha Vaidyanathan
 VP Engineering

Radha leads software development and professional services. Radha has 20 years of managerial and technical experience leading global engineering teams and delivering complex software systems. Prior to Industrial Origami, Radha was a R&D Group Director at Cadence Design Systems. At Cadence, Radha led the development and launch of new extraction engines which established Fire & Ice QX as a leader in extraction accuracy for nanometer designs.

At Talarian, Radha was Director of Product Development where he led the development of Java Message Service and the underlying high performance messaging infrastructure products. Radha also spent 10 years at Synopsys where he rose to R&D Director of System-Level Design Products. At Synopsys, Radha delivered two new products: CoCentric System Studio aimed at hardware/software co-design and Cyclone, a high performance simulator.

Radha has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Madras, an MS in Computer Science from Louisiana State University, and an MS in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. Radha has several patents and publications and was awarded the IEEE Third Millennium medal.

 

 Mario Greco
 VP Advanced Development

Mario brings over a decade of experience in advanced automotive design, development and manufacturing. His experience includes seven years as lead engineer of the BMW Group Design Concept Car Engineering Team. The Team was responsible for significantly advancing the methods and practices used to integrate design and engineering to promote state-of-art technologies in production. In addition to a number of BMW internal advanced technology project vehicles, vehicles publicly shown developed by the Team include the BMW CS1, BMW xActivity and the Rolls Royce 100EX, among others.

Prior to BMW, Mario was at Porsche Engineering Services where he contributed to the design and analysis of advanced lightweight body structures for automotive OEM clients, as well as well as technology development for Porsche AG. Mario began his career at Alcoa Automotive Structures as Design Engineer, where he was part of the engineering team that designed and helped to support the manufacturing center for the advanced aluminum space frames used by Ferrari including the F430, 599GTB, and Scaglietti.

Mario has a B.S. and M.S. from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and an MBA from the University of Bradford, England. Mario speaks four languages and grew up in the automotive industry.

 

 Zach Koekemoer
 CFO

Zach brings more than 15 years of financial management experience to his role as CFO. Prior to Industrial Origami, Zach served in a number of finance positions. These include Vice President of Finance at WageWorks, Inc. which provides tax-advantaged benefits for working families. Prior to WageWorks, Inc. Zach served as Corporate Controller at @Road, Inc. which provided solutions designed to automate the management of mobile resources.

Zach was Finance and Compliance Manager at Artisan Components, Inc. Zach began his career at PriceWaterhouseCoopers in Cape Town, South Africa, before transferring to its San Jose, California office.

Zach holds a Hon and BS in Accounting from the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa. He is a Member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants.
